The butter cookies are great for the holidays, snacks and to share.  You simply can't just eat one.


Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat the egg, then stir in the vanilla.  Combine the flour and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least one hour.  Chill cookie sheets.  Use a fork to line, press and make cross shape to design cookie.
  2. Preheat oven 350 degrees.  Press dough out onto ungreased, chilled cookie sheets or on butter greased cookie pan.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 mintutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden at the edges. Remove from cookie sheet or cookie pan and cool on wire racks.
The oatmeal cookies are delicious.  They come out soft and as they cool turn a bit crispy. This aren't chewy oatmeal cookies.  These go great with tea or coffee.



Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 flour
1 tsp baking power
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks butter (unsalted/softened)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 granulated sugar
1 large eggs
1tsp vanilla



Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper or get a cookie pan and grease with butter.
  2. In a food processor, grind 2 1/2 cups of the oats until they resemble whole wheat flour. Add the baking powder, cinnamon, and salt and combine.  Set the dry ingredients aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add the butter, sugar and brown sugar and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.  Add the egg and vanilla and beat again.
  4. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the dry ingredients.  Mix until just combines, then stir in the final cup of oats.
  5. Scoop the doug onto the parepared pans and chill for 30 minutes.  Bake for 8-9 mintutes or until the cookie are just set.  Let cool for a few mintutes then move to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Delicious cupcakes that any child and family will enjoy.  It's simple and easy to make with your little helper.  The cupcakes is moist and great for parties, breakfast, lunch and snacks.  


Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking power
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
6 Tbs. (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 whole egg plus 1 egg white, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk

In a large bowl, whisk the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs together.  In another bowl add all the other ingredients and put all the ingredients in the large bowl and beat.  Beat until all is combined.  Add less sugar if you don't like it a bit sweet. 


Directions:

Preheat an oven to 350F. Line a standard muffin pan with paper or foil liners.  The cupcakes should take 18 to 20 minutes to bake.  Let it cool completely, about 1 hour.  
Make this recipe using M&M's candy.  This is a easy recipe to make.   Just follow the directions.  This cookies will be a hit with kids.  


Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup M&M’S (mini or regular) milk or dark chocolate candy
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Cream butter with both sugars in a large bowl until mixture is light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat to combine.  Mix flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.   Mix in dry ingredients and stir in the candy. Using a teaspoon  and drop a heaping spoon of dough two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 10 to 13 minutes or, until edges are just starting to burn.   Cool for about 25 minutes on a wire rack and enjoy!   You can store them in a covered container, but there won’t be any left.
